Year after year, Merritt Academy Summer Camp has been recognized by Northern Virginia Magazine as one of the region’s Best Summer Camps, making it a trusted choice for families seeking an exceptional summer experience for their children.
Designed for rising first through eighth graders, our award-winning camp combines fun, friendship, and adventure with enriching experiences that keep campers engaged all summer long. Each week brings new opportunities to explore, create, and discover through exciting themes, hands-on activities, outdoor play, special events, and memorable field trips.
Families can choose between our popular traditional themed camp and classroom camp programs, allowing campers to enjoy a summer experience that best fits their interests and personalities. Whether they are trying something new, developing existing talents, or simply making lifelong memories with friends, campers are encouraged to learn, grow, and have fun in a safe and supportive environment led by caring educators.

Classroom Camp
Classroom camp combines both academic enrichment and classic summer fun. Participating campers will work on grade-specific skills and enjoy project-based learning activities. Then, after morning studies, campers will resume an afternoon full of play, laughter and poolside fun. Classroom campers will join in on all field trips and may not have academics on field trip days.

**$75.00 Weekly Registration Fee: (Non-Refundable)**
Registration for Summer Camp 2026 is offered in weekly sessions on a first-come-first-serve basis. In order to complete the registration process, you must submit all online registration forms and pay a non-refundable fee of $75 per child per camp week, by credit card or e-check. The balance of all outstanding camp fees is due June 1. If payment has not been processed by then, your child will be removed from our camp roster. Balance payments may be submitted online or by check made payable to Merritt Academy. Parents may access their online profile at any time to make payments, obtain camp information or register their child for additional weeks.
Tuition includes the hours of 6:45AM-3:30PM, a light morning snack (served 7:00-7:45AM), lunch (except on some field trip days), an afternoon snack, supplies, trip transportation and entrance fees for field trips. Our aftercare option from 3:30-6:15PM costs $125 a week.
To make changes:
To make changes to your child’s schedule, such as switching sessions, please email our Camp Director. Changes made after April 15, 2026 will incur a non-refundable $45 fee per change.
To cancel:
Cancellation requests made on, or prior to April 15, 2026, will be eligible for a 100% refund, not including the $75 non-refundable registration fee. Cancellation requests made April 16, 2026 or after that date, will be eligible for a 50% refund, not including the $75 non-refundable registration fee.
