We communicate with our families in multiple ways.
eBoard is an online communication tool for our current parents. This is where parents can find general information about the whole school - such as sports events, health forms, and school closings – as well as specific classroom information – such as homework or class party announcements.
Wednesday Letters are our weekly communication to parents. Each parent receives a letter from the executive director about school policies and events, and a letter from the lead teacher of their child’s classroom about classroom happenings. Middle School parents receive a letter from the collective group of middle school teachers.
Daily Reports are given to parents with preschool children, toddlers, or infants. For infants and toddlers, this report is very detailed and includes times of diaper changing, eating, sleeping, and behavior throughout the day. Reports from the K3 and K4 teachers focus on classroom activities, but still note any abnormal behavior or exciting achievements.
Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled two times a year. This is a chance for parents and teachers to meet face-to-face and address any questions pertaining to your child’s education. Conferences are also scheduled at the request of the parent or teacher on an as-needed basis.
Merritt Messenger is published on a quarterly basis. Families receive the Merritt Messenger newsletter detailing campus life. Our newsletter provides families with the latest information about school activities, PTO functions and community events. Our winter Merritt Messenger is now available!
Tiger Times is a monthly newsletter written by Merritt Academy students. This creative and informative publication includes interviews, stories and essays that reflect student ideas and opinions. Students enjoy collaborating on a variety of stories throughout the month that focus on academics and life's lessons.
