Field Trips and Special Events


Field trips and nature walks provide the children an opportunity to interact with the curriculum.Field trips and nature walks provide the children an opportunity to interact with the curriculum. Responsible adult supervision is always provided for these excursions. Children have to have parent permission in order to participate in field trips, special events, and activities at Sunrise Senior Living or other retirement communities. Some recent trips include:

  • Museum of the American Indian
  • U.S. Botanical Gardens
  • Wide range of D.C. Museums
  • Cox Farm
  • Sully Plantation and Claude Moore Farm
  • New York City for 7th Graders
  • Florida Trip for 8th Graders
