Toddler Program (approximately  24 months – 3 years)

Curriculum

Learning through play and interest centers are the foundation for academic growth. Our hands-on Toddler Program (approximately 24 months – 3 years old) is designed to advance the developmental needs of each child. Learning through play and interest centers are the foundation for academic growth. Our small classroom size, with a student to teacher ratio of 8 to 1, provides teachers with the opportunity to spend time with your child. We encourage growth by emphasizing several areas of play through toys and teacher-guided activities including:

  • Reading
  • Creative and Expressive Art
  • Language Art and Music activities
  • Dramatic Art
  • Gross and Fine Motor activities
  • Science Discovery
  • Sensory activities
  • Music activities
  • Math manipulatives

These centers are based on weekly themes such as:

  • Family Ties
  • Off to School
  • Apples and worms
  • Community Helpers
  • Colors and Shapes
  • International Week
  • Amazing Authors
  • Construction Zone
  • My Five Senses
  • Healthy Bodies

Discipline is handled using a positive developmental approach.Discipline is handled using a positive developmental approach. When a problem occurs, teachers will redirect the child to another activity that is more appropriate. For example, if a child is pounding on the table, a teacher may offer play dough to pound on instead.
