We assess school aged children (K-8) through knowledge-based testing prior to offering a contract. Merritt Academy’s curriculum is rigorous and while we try to accommodate children’s unique learning needs, we want also to ensure their success with our program.

After the completion of this placement testing, a Child Study Team meets to determine if an enrollment contract will be offered. Standard members of this team include: the appropriate principal and teacher, the school counselor, the executive director, and your admissions contact. This team will work with the parent(s) if any issues arise.

Play Date (Preschool Children)

The purpose of the play date is to see your child interacting in a preschool environment. Your play date may be scheduled before or after a contract is offered depending on the time of your application submission.
