
1:1 iPad Pilot Program in ClassroomsWe are excited to announce the iPad Pilot Program at Merritt Academy, where students are involved in real world applications and inquiry based investigation that fosters active learning. Students will gain digital literacy as they meet new opportunities from our teachers to better differentiate instruction and help enrich the learning experience across the curriculum. Some of our planned learning experiences will encompass:

Merritt Academy's two computer labs are equipped with Internet access and multi-media creation tools, giving students hands on experience with some of the most current web tools available. In addition to these labs, a mobile lab is available in the classrooms where wireless Internet access brings up-to-the-minute information to curious minds. Students may choose to bring their laptops to school or use one of the school's computers. All classrooms have LCD projectors and projection boards. SMART technology is employed in most classrooms with an emphasis on student participation.
Technology education is at the forefront of academic and life-long success, providing one of the five skill areas necessary in today’s and tomorrow’s work force. At Merritt Academy we afford our students with opportunities for technology integrated projects and lessons. Our teachers are dedicated to making learning fun by using the most current web tools available.
