Merritt Academy Hallmarks are special activities and events designed to integrate hands-on learning and fun, which offer a memorable break from classroom routine. Students of all ages celebrate Hallmarks, with each age group and grade level participating in events that tie into the curriculum in a meaningful way. Some examples include the Fairy Tale Ball in Kindergarten, a culminating activity following their unit on Fairy Tales and Myths. The Umbrella Parade for our K3 preschool students supports an understanding of letters, and the phonetic study of the letter “U”. Third and Fourth Grade Students travel back in time for Colonial Day, where they gain an appreciation for the challenges of daily life experienced by colonists in early 18th century America. Many of our Merritt Academy Hallmarks are traditions that have been enjoyed by our students for generations. We invite you to learn more about our special Hallmarks and experience them with your children.
