Full Time K3 Assistant and Part Time Instructional Aides

Do you love working with young children? We have a full time K3 Assistant Teacher position (12:30 PM to 6:30 PM) and part time instructional aide positions (2:45 PM to 6:30 PM) available in our Preschool for qualified candidates to join our awesome team. The successful candidates should have the following qualifications:

2+ years of experience in an educational environment
High school degree required, CDA preferred
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Flexibility is a must in order to be successful in this environment
A love of working with young children

Camp Counselors

Do you enjoy spending time with and planning fun activities and projects for children? Would you enjoy spending your summer joining our daily swimming activities and supervising young children on field trips to places such as Kings Dominion and Dave and Busters? If you answered "YES" to all of the above and are ready to work hard then Merritt Academy is the place for you during for the summer of 2013. We are looking for the following:

Experience as a Camp Counselor
Students studying in all programs, including engineering, biology, physics, chemistry, performing arts, fine arts, creative writing, recreation, culinary arts, animation, graphic design, gaming/game design, fashion design, interior design, music performance, education and foreign language
Loves young children
Strong leadership and teamwork skills
Available for 10 weeks (June 10 thru August 22)

Infant Assistant

A well-established private preschool academy is in search of an energetic and dynamic Infant Assistant to join our awesome team. The successful candidate should have the following qualifications:

2+ years of experience with young children
High school required, CDA preferred
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Flexibility is a must in order to be successful in this environment
A love of working with children ages 6 weeks to 12 months

On Call Substitute Preschool Teachers

Do you love to work with preschoolers (infants to 3 year olds)? There is an opportunity for on-call preschool teachers at Merritt Academy. In order to qualify for this position you should have 2+ years' experience working with young children, with a BA degree in a related field is preferred. Primary responsibilities include:

Interacting and engaging young children in age-appropriate activities and programs
Ability to present lessons based on teacher's lesson plans
Communicating professionally with peers and parents
Ability to work with a variety of ages from infants -- 3 year olds

Our school is open 6:30 AM -- 6:30 PM. You should be flexible and able to work a variety of different schedules depending on the need. This position could also lead to a permanent position if that is the mutual desire.
